Anime Milwaukee Live Podcast

2011 for us seems to be off to a great start! We have the live podcast next week on January 12th, we are going to be at the Midwest Gaming Classic in March, and now in February we will be at Anime Milwaukee at the Hyatt Center in Downtown Milwaukee. 

If your in the Midwest area and you love Anime and/or you love Pokémon and our show, then you should come down on February 19th at 9AM to hear us live for an hour and a half.

Episode 025 Will Be Live... Kinda...

So you might of noticed that there will not be a podcast this week. Sad... I know. First... I have a ton of video games to catch up on, and even though the episodes are about an hour long, they consume about a 4 hour span. I'm just being honest.

BUT - Episode 025 will be hosted on Blog Talk Radio. What does that mean for you guys?

Well, this episode will take place on Wednesday, January 12th at 7:30 PM (Central Time).

This means:

You can listen to us live at that time (7:30PM Central Time)

There will be a Toll-Free number you can call into and you can be on the show!

We will be doing some speed rounds of Pok mon stuff. Listeners can call in, and we can just talk. This will all be live and then for those who can't listen to the show then, it will be recorded for iTunes and RSS readers later.

Starting 2011

Hello Fellow Trainers,

First off, I want to THANK EVERYONE who comes to the site, participates in forums, and listen to the shows. I also want to give a special shout out to all our KINDLE subscribers. Why the Kindle Subscribers? Well they pay .99 cents a month to read us anywhere, and that is awesome, thank you for your support, you help keep the site running.

I hope everyone had a great New Years. I wanted to write this letter to not only kick off 2011 on a good note, but to mention our new feature. For a long time some Trainers wanted Forums. I delievered that and called it PokéTalk a couple months ago. The PokéTalk forums were a light soultion to a small demand. We also have a lot of Trainers who comment, and in doing so, they have to fill out a card every time (annoying). Today! Starting Jan 1st, 2011, Trainers can now register for the site and create an account (all for free). This lets our audience have sign in accounts that will remember when the visit the site. Trainers can have their own user name and everything! Pretty great! I'm excited to bring it to you all finally.

Let's talk a bit of history of the site. PKMNcast started on July 28th, 2010. The main reason for starting the site was to complement my main focus of having an awesome Pokémon Podcast, which is famously called "It's Super Effective". I can't believe how many of you have reviewed us and listen to us, it's so awesome. I love the fan mail and everything that comes with doing the shows. Since July, we've built an awesome site for our fan base. We've also started to sell shirts. We have more merch for the 2011 pipeline too! I want to be very personable with all of you listeners, readers, fans, etc, so here are some crazy statistics. 

For the year of 2010 we've had 95,910 page views. Featured Team is our most popular page to view. Our biggest source of traffic is Reddit. The most traffic comes from Mac OS X with 28.84% topping our second most Win XP with 23.19%. We have 79 Reviews in iTunes. 68 of those are 5 Stars.

We are still trying to get to 100 reviews to give out our free Pikachu charger.

So overall, I just want to say Thank You to everyone who supports the site, you all rock! 

Enjoy the new features and keep letting us know what you want! We want to be the best Pokémon site and Podcast around. Woot!

Their release data may not be correct, but if you Pre-Order you lock your price in at $35. Also, Pre-Ordering on Amazon doesn't use any of your money. You pay in full when your item ships. Why have GameStop hold your $5 in their bank when it can sit in your bank. Last year Amazon did release day shipping, so let's hope they do it again come spring (of course they will). So exciting!

What is PKMNcast?

A lot of news this Monday.

If you follow my personal twitter, you would have saw that the other night I bought two new domain names!

One of those I have already mentioned: pkmnstore.com

You can also type in pokemon.goodsie.com - but we like our new URL better!

So in not wanting to be sued by Nintendo and/or GameFreak and/or the Pokémon Company, I cannot make a real logo for the site with the word "Pokémon" - but since I own the domain: www.pokemonpodcast.com - that is my right (that I OWN) to put onto shirts. I think every site needs a logo, and while this post isn't about our new logo (which is coming), it is about our new domain. 

We will ALWAYS call the site Pokemon Podcast DOT com, but to make things easier, you can just type "pkmncast.com" into your browser to jump over to our site now. Pretty cool, right?

You probably guessed it, we can't use Pokémon in a logo, but we can use PKMN. Clever, right?

Welcome our NEW Editor: Acciolove

If everything would have went smooth last night, episode 021 would have been up by now. In that episode we congratulated Sarah, aka acciolove, about becoming an editor. Whoooo! Yet, we have to re-record episode 021 again tonight. No big deal.

Acciolove is our new Pokémon Facts Editor. She will be providing fact about Pokémon stuff that you may not even know about. Sarah is our youngest editor, and if you read her bio, she is also my sister. After a couple months of begging me to be an editor, she came to me with the idea of doing weekly facts. Her first article is pretty awesome. I hope you guys enjoy what Sarah has to bring to the table, and everyone welcome her with open arms.

Hello, Poli-Shirt!

Finally! After months of talking about exclusive Pokémon Shirts, we finally have some made! You can jump over to our very basic store and pre-order one! All Pre-Orders will ship on December 16th. Right before the holidays. So you can get your shirt in time for Christmas (a good gift). Now these shirts are limited to 100... so in other words... once they are gone, they are gone.

The first Official PKMN Podcast Shirt. This is limited to 100. The shirt was inspired by the swirl on Poliwhirl's/Poliwrath's belly. Now you too can have a swirl of awesomeness on your belly.
