Get Heracross for Pokémon X and Pinsir for Pokémon Y
/The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo today announced that beginning August 13 in the United States and Canada, the Bug-type Pokémon Pinsir—normally only encountered in the Pokémon X video game—will be available to players of Pokémon Y via a special wireless Internet distribution. During the same wireless Internet distribution period, the battle-tested Bug- and Fighting-type Pokémon Heracross—typically only encountered in the Pokémon Y video game—will be available to players of Pokémon X. Fans of these powerful Pokémon will need to act quickly as this unique distribution is only available for a limited time, ending September 17.
Beginning on August 18, players can visit participating GameStop stores in the Unites States to receive a code for a Mega Stone that Pinsir or Heracross can hold. The code unlocks a Heracronite Mega Stone for Pokémon X and a Pinsirite Mega Stone for Pokémon Y. When Pinsir holds Pinsirite, it can Mega Evolve into Mega Pinsir during battle, while Heracross will Mega Evolve into Mega Heracross in battle while holding Heracronite.
Players who visit participating GameStop stores to pick up the code can also pre-order the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video games, releasing November 21, 2014, for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, and receive a special pre-order bonus poster. Codes for the Heracronite and Pinsirite Mega Stones and the bonus poster are available while supplies last.
Pinsir and Heracross each pack a huge punch in battle and become even more powerful when they Mega Evolve! The Lv. 50 Pinsir has an Adamant Nature and knows X-Scissor, Earthquake, Stone Edge, and Return. It will have one of two Abilities: the defensive Hyper Cutter Ability or Mold Breaker. During Mega Evolution, Mega Pinsir’s Ability becomes Aerilate. The Lv. 50 Heracross has an Adamant Nature and knows Bullet Seed, Pin Missile, Close Combat, and Megahorn. Its Ability, Swarm or Guts, will change to Skill Link during Mega Evolution. More details about this distribution can be found at Pokemon.com.
