PKMN of the Week: Terrakion

I have owned my home for about ten years now.  It's a nice one bedroom condo on the second floor of a six unit building - basically I have one family below me and one family above me.  Most of the years I have lived here have been quiet.  The condo below mine is usually empty and the one above me was occupied by an older woman.

Then the older woman moved out and Rolling Thunder moved in.
In human development, when children first learn to walk they lack the grace and finesse that we, as adults, exercise in moving across a room.  The value of each individual step's success far outweighs the artistry of, say, not stomping everywhere you go.  She's about one and a half years old and two feet high but I think she must weigh about 200 pounds (that's about 14.25 stone for those of you with even less useful systems of measurement).  Stomp stomp stomp stomp stomp.  I know when Rolling Thunder wakes up in the morning and when she goes to bed at night - all other hours are a constant stream of pounding assaults on the peace and serenity of my home.  Some days I feel like Frank Grimes.

PKMN of the Week: Regigigas

It's Memorial day weekend and, before we get into Pokémon of the week, let's take a moment to reflect on those who have served and sacrificed to protect us and our country.  I have many friends who are currently active in the military and know that there are numerous Pokéfans in the armed forces.  I hope you all know that Pokémon of the Week respects and values the work that you do.

Now that you've done that, I'll ask for a favor.  In either Pokémon Black or White, walk, run, bike, or fly to Celestial Tower.  Make your way to the top and ring the bell for all of the Pokémon who have been sacrificed in pursuit of truth . . . or ideals.  This goes double for all you Nuzlockers out there.

OK, let's get into the real deal.  Which Pokémon has been discussed on the podcast and never had a write up on the site?  Which Pokémon may actually be the most difficult for SBJ to pronounce?  Which is the only Pokémon in the 600 club that I haven't written up?  Which is the one Pokémon to rule them all?

Gobble Up These Fun Techs

Happy Thanksgiving! If you’re not American… sucks, eat a turkey sandwich. While everyone is sitting around the warm fire stuffing themselves with stuffing I thought it would be nice to have a bit of a turkey day themed look at the TCG. So with Cities around the corner and the pressure to build up player points building like the pressure behind Uncle Jerry’s belt lets remember to enjoy the game we are so thankful for and have some fun.

PotW Supplement: VGC Side Event Battle

Hey guys, no time for a Pokemon of the Week article this week, because it's Sunday night, and I just got back from Nationals a few hours ago and am headed off to a camp in the morning. So, in leiu of that, I'm giving you my first Youtube video! It's a vid of me battling my friend Dalton, who also went to nats with me, in a VGC Side event that was taking place after the actual National Championships. The rules were the same as the VGC main event, except you didn't get to see your opponent's team, and you use all 6 of your Pokemon without making changes to their order. I really liked these rules, and won a few 8-man tournaments. Well, without further ado, here it is:

Well, as you can see, he got some Attract hax on my Pokes at the end there, and it almost cost me the match. I mean, immobilized by love like 3 times in a row?? That's ridiculous. Well, I hope everyone who went to nationals enjoyed it, I know I did. It was awesome seeing Steve, Aaron, Travis, and Chris, as well as a few other fans who came up to us. And that's all I've got, trainers.
