Dude, during that last round, I hit hard. Did you see what I did? Did you see me whip out Fire Blast on that guy? Dude sure was shocked that a Normal-type like me could whip out a massive Fire-type move like that. I even think I left him with a burn!
Imma take a nap now though. Let me know when it's my turn again.
Whenever I delve into the world of online dating (far too often for my own good health) the conversation inevitably turns to my stats. The guys all want to know how high my max HP has gotten, whether I have IVs in Attack and Special Attack, where all of my EV training has gone. Unfortunately, I'm more of a wall than a sweeper, IVs are in Defense and Special Defense, and my nature is anything but jolly. When the guys learn my stats they quickly lose interest.
It's Valentine's Day and thoughts turn to love - falling in love, being in love, chasing the dream of romance. Which Pokémon is the Pokémon of love? Who would be the cupid of the Pokémon world setting hearts afire?
Cleffa is not a power house in the Video Game world at all. With that being said, it can still find use it Little Cups. Cleffa can use it's hidden ability of Friend Guard to reduce damage done to allies in a double (or triple) battle by 25%. This is pretty drastic when it comes to baby Pokémon fight baby Pokémon. Cleffa also has a pretty vast moveset coming from Shadow Ball to Fire Blast and from Magical Leaf to Dream Eater. I personally think Metronome is a must have staple when running this family.
Remember this thing? Pokémon of the Week articles? It's been a while since we've had one, so I thought I'd give you all a holiday present by writing one. I know what you are thinking. "But, Travis! You are supposed to only write Rare Article!" Well, guess what? YOU CAN'T PUT ME IN A BOX. I CAN DO WHAT I WANT!
Woah. That got a little heated. Let's cool things down with Cyrogonal, shall we?
One hundred million years ago, an ancient creature esided on the murky depths of the seafloor, eagerly awaiting any unsuspecting prey that might so happen to swim by. The wait was usually long and harsh, but well worth it. When something did happen to swim by, this creature of the depths hungrily extended its tentacle-like petals, grabbed the little morsel, and devoured it whole. Although this may sound like the premise to some horror movie I am, as a matter of fact, speaking of this week's Pokémon of the week; Lileep! Bet you never saw the cute little Rock/Grass Type in such a sinnister light, huh?
Hello again, Pokemon trainers! How was everyone's summer? Good? Same here. But now, since most everyone's back to the old grind, I have returned to give everyone their weekly fix of Pokemon knowledge. And, without further ado, I'm going to give you your weekly fix of Pokemon knowledge.
Hey there everyone! Ever since the early days of the podcast, the guys at PKMNcast have always been 100%-accuracy-or-nothing kind of people. Whenever Hydro Pump, Fire Blast, or Thunder make an appearance in the Featured Team segment, it's always been very common for the hosts to suggest one of the 90 damage 100 accuracy moves as a replacement. As unfortunate as it is, the big-hitting, low accuracy moves are just too risky to be dependable in competitive battles. But what if I told you that there was a Pokemon that, through use of its ability, was able to bump one of those mega-powerful moves up to 100% accuracy? Well, this week's Pokemon of the Week, Galvantula, can do just that!
Hey guys, no time for a Pokemon of the Week article this week, because it's Sunday night, and I just got back from Nationals a few hours ago and am headed off to a camp in the morning. So, in leiu of that, I'm giving you my first Youtube video! It's a vid of me battling my friend Dalton, who also went to nats with me, in a VGC Side event that was taking place after the actual National Championships. The rules were the same as the VGC main event, except you didn't get to see your opponent's team, and you use all 6 of your Pokemon without making changes to their order. I really liked these rules, and won a few 8-man tournaments. Well, without further ado, here it is:
Well, as you can see, he got some Attract hax on my Pokes at the end there, and it almost cost me the match. I mean, immobilized by love like 3 times in a row?? That's ridiculous. Well, I hope everyone who went to nationals enjoyed it, I know I did. It was awesome seeing Steve, Aaron, Travis, and Chris, as well as a few other fans who came up to us. And that's all I've got, trainers.
