4 Pokémon You Should Consider
/We all know legendaries are the strongest thing out there in the Pokémon world, and no one likes to lose... so in terms, most teams are filled with Palkias and Dialgas, but lets take a look at a few Pokémon out of the 400+ that you should consider. Now these aren't the best Pokémon for the job, but they aren't bad. That being said, it's more of a different look at strategy's other then... who's the strongest out there strategy.
1. Glaceon
Glaceon is one of the four pure Ice Pokémon out there. ONE of FOUR! That means something right? Well... this evolution of Eevee has pretty good stats, but not the best. That said, it's ability is Snow Cloak, which causes evasion to increase by 20% in a hailstorm, is pretty sweet. Now think about this, Blizzard has 100% accuracy in a hailstorm. Good reason to use a move like Hail. Glaceon strong point is special attack, so Blizzard not only get the STAB bonus, but it's going to be 100% accurate and Galceon is going to have a good start on avoiding attacks. Just something to think about before you evolve you Eevee.
2. Grumpig
Most of you probably have never heard of a Grumpig. To be honest, no body has a Grumpig on their team either. It's a very unusual Psychic Pokémon, yet it has an awesome ability. Grumpig's ability is Thick Fat, which gives the user heat and cold protection, therefore halving the power of Ice-type and Fire-type moves. We've all seen plenty of Ice Beams and Flamethrowers in the midst of battle. Kind of nice to reduce the power of those moves when you send out your Psychic. Grumpig has great special defense as well, so he's a pretty good wall. Want to slow down your opponents even more, well Grumpig can learn Thunder Wave... and Confuse Ray... get where we are going here? Like stated before, Grumpig is a pretty good wall.
3. Shuckle
Shuckle is a wall. Shuckle rocks it in the defense and special defense... get it... rocks... because Shuckle is a Rock/Bug Pokémon. Anyways, Shuckle has extremely low attack, special attack, and HP, but hey, who needs that when you can take any type of hit after hit. That being said, who needs to attack anyways, there are moves like Toxic for that. Poison your opponent while you Rest to get your health back. Take this in consideration, you opponent uses a move that does little to no damage, well, wear them down with an Encore to destroy their moveset and it'll give you more time to plan your victory. You don't know Shuckle? Maybe you should?
4. Kingler
The King Crab Pokémon. Can we start off with the ability Shell Armor, which prevents a critical hit. That's pretty awesome. Kingler has high defense and attack, not to mention it's pretty fast for it's type. With a move like Sword Dance, Kingler becomes quite the threat on the field. Crabhammer is obvious for STAB. When Kingler's health gets to low, you can always throw in a Flail to give your opponent one last run for their money. Don't forget, Kingler is a water type, but can also learn Rock Slide for the electric or flying Pokémon. Everyone likes crabs.
That being said, none of these Pokémon are absolutely amazing, but they can fit in, if you put the right training. These Pokémon can work, and that's the point of this article. Most people use the same Pokémon that other people use because they are afraid to lose, but if you look hard enough, you can use Pokémon you like and make them work. You'll have a better feeling using Pokémon you like, and not Pokémon you need.
